The patch of land in Middlesborough was unoccupied and the families were aboe to stay for two weeks. It is now five years since the Travellers eviction and Basildon council are redeveloping the land that they had said was ‘protected greenbelt’.  Jean and her family have yet to find a permanent legal site where they might be permanently allowed to stay.
